Arnaldo Sanna was born in Sardinia. He’s been living and working for many years in Camnago, close to Milan. Arnaldo combines minimum materials, drawings and objects, style hints and autobiographical notes, recomposing fragments of an idyllic topography in the uncertain space of life.
As in many other pieces of Arnaldo - thanks to the fortunate dexterity of the author and to a rare ability to imagine different worlds - the awareness of the universe is mostly residual, changed and transfigured in a visionary disposition.
Arnaldo brings into play a secretly shrewd mastery which makes it appear entirely poor and gaunt. We then turn to the cloak that Arnaldo is offering us, just like a wanderer in the middle of a cold winter night accepting the humblest of covers to comfort the body. The nobility of this act appears useful to divide the truth from the false, the expected from the unexpected, and the inhuman from the pitiful veil.
